Limited beta — 8 spots

Your TV should be more fun than this.

Text2TV turns any smart TV or Dakboard into a live display your whole room can post to — just by sending a text. Photos, AI captions, comments, a leaderboard. No app required for anyone.

"I built this with my teenagers, for exactly that moment when everyone's hanging out and the phone comes out. They love it. Now I want to find out if your family will too." — Shane

We're looking for 8 beta testers

Text2TV works great on most smart TVs and Dakboards. We're opening a free two-week beta to a small group of real users in the United States who want to try it, break it, and tell us what they actually think.

Completely free.No credit card, no catch.

Two weeks, starting early to mid-April.

Limited to 8 testers — small on purpose so we can have real conversations, not just collect data.

I'll keep things brief. A welcome message, a check-in around day 5, questions around day 10, and a wrap-up. Not daily, not annoying.

You're talking to a real person. Shane built this. Shane will be texting you.

Heads-up: Text2TV works best on most smart TVs and Dakboards. Roku TVs and older smart TVs may be trickier — we'll flag this during onboarding and work through it together.

What we're trying to learn

  • How did setup actually go — and how long did it take on your hardware?
  • Did it get a reaction from the people in the room?
  • How intuitive is it for guests who are just texting in?
  • Did you come back to it without being prompted?
  • What would make you pay for this?
  • What's missing? What would make it something you'd actually recommend?

Honest answers only. We're not looking for nice ones.

Where do you plan to set it up?

we read every answer, this one matters most

Text2TV is ready for real users — but it's still early. There will probably be bugs. Setup might not go perfectly on every device. That's exactly why we're doing this.

If you join, I'll treat your time with respect: short check-ins, clear questions, and a genuine interest in what you think. In return, I just ask that you actually use it and tell me the truth.

Thanks for being here early.
